So long.

So long.

A Poem by A.A.

Hopes - I'll chase them down

Like wind across the dunes -

My fancy flying free

As ocean stones.

I'll leap - it's just a step -

From certain to unknown,

And the world will be my home -

I'm never coming home.

You taught me as I grew

You've got to make this life your own,

You've got to find your way alone.

And a gypsy traveller told me once

      That freedom is to roam.

My girlfriend really doesn't like the line about the gypsy. Does it sit okay? Is there too much of a leap between the second and the thirds stanza? Thanks for your help.

And the world will be my home -
a wonderful thought, and this belief is what unites.
.
.
That freedom is to roam.
just to have no bindings- emotional, social, a real freedom to achieve.

liked it.
