Walls;

Walls;

A Poem by C.

You’re shattered on the floor

With little hope of standing tall

You’re wondering how you’re here again

You thought last time was the last fall

But you’re broken still

Surrounded by walls to high

You want to knock them down

But you’re too terrified

If you let everyone see inside

You’re afraid they’ll push you away

So, you just build the wall higher

And ignore what they all say

‘Cause they say that they love you

But, you’re too wise to fall into that trap

You know far too well, everyone leaves

And leaves your heart with another crack

True , true words ..wish they weren't but I have seen myself in your words and have built those very same walls , only to have them torn down again. You show a lot of warmth and love in your poetry..never build walls too high to let that shine through
