moon and stars;

moon and stars;

A Poem by C.

can't understand

the way you're holding my hand

can't comprehend

why our hearts blend

i always thought

i was good for nothing

but you taught me

i'm worth something

the moon and the stars

glimmer in your eyes

and i know now

my heart needs no disguise

i thought my walls

were made of steel

but you burnt them down

to a love so unreal

forever my scars linger on

but you taught me to be strong

and you swore to protect me

when everything goes wrong

i'm not the girl

who's willing to trust

but you made beauty

from my heart of rust

i have no choice

and i wouldn't want one

'cause hunny, it's only you and i

together, forever, our hearts intertwined
