Forgetful;

Forgetful;

A Poem by C.

Oh, how easily I forget

That I've been broken much

That you could never fix the damage

He caused with one touch

A whisper floats on the wind

Speaks softly in your ear

But I whispered too soft

For you to ever hear

Oh, how easily I forget

To keep my walls up 'round you

'Cause if I let them down

You'll surely bid adieu

Tried pretending you don't exist

Tried so hard to resist

Maybe I'm better off without you

'Cause this heart I just subdue

Wanna follow my intuition

But as for the past, My ears won't listen

Don't wanna make this same mistake

Don't want this to end with heartache
