No Good For Fixin'

No Good For Fixin'

A Poem by C.

I’m accident prone

It’s clearly shown

And I’m wasting away

‘Cause I’m afraid of the pain

Blocked memories,

Taunt and tease

Soon they’ll just explode away

And I’ll be left empty

I thought you we’re forever

But turns out, forever

Isn’t as long as everyone thinks

Empty promises

Roam the air

And it’s time to take a stand

But I’m nowhere near strong enough

I wish you could hold me, help me

I miss my home

But you’re arms turned cold

Bitter words slice through my brain

There’s little more I can take

I’m a little more broken

Than can be repaired

So leave me in the dust

‘Cause I’m no good for fixin’ anyway

I’m just a useless thing

And I’ll just break again

I liked the rhyme scheme and the wording of the poem, though it is a bit hard on the writer...

Disturbing. I can feel like this if the circumstances are just right. You have a way with words, mademoiselle.
