If i were to die today

If i were to die today

A Poem by Luke Sampson

If i were to die today

An adventure i would seek,

To roam the earth alone once

more and forge my ghostly way

But if i were to die today

No legacy would there be,

For if i were to die today

My life would not be free

For here we roam, our

lives alone, to follow our

Own paths

Blinded by our own pursuits

Playing our dealt cards.

The Holy Spirit walks with me

but my choices moved me        far

For on this i walk today

This ending world i mar

But if i were to die today

i would die alone

But if i were to die today

I’d wish my soul were home.

I really love what you're trying to say here but I think your flow needs work. It seems choppy. The first parts of the stanzas flow and then the second have seems to lose it somehow. I like the last stanza. It has power.
