Monday Night

Monday Night

A Poem by Megan
"

just another memory of you to add to my collection

"
The lamplight
Spilling across you
In the night
You're arms thrown around me
Like you'll never let me go
Soft breathing
And kissing
Touching, and caressing
While rain falls on the rooftop
A lovely rhythm
To hide our whispering
Of I love yous
While we rest
In the cool sheets
You run you're fingers though my hair
And I share
All my thoughts with you
Silly things
And serious things
That mean the world to me
You take in every word
Keeping every secret
Telling me I'm your world
And sharing this small moment
That to some mean nothing
While they mean everything
To the ones who can see them
For what they're for
You pass me the vodka
And I turn on the TV
Soon we're laughing
At new inside jokes
That we'll take to our graves
And remember
While we're here
In this life
In this day
Just young and foolish
Carefree and selfish
I wouldn't change this for the world

One thing i would like to say you imagine so beautifully everything, i love the way you described that scene.
This scene one can easily relate to him/herself, it`s a complete poem describing when the two loving souls meet and converse with each other this is so beautifull

I absolutely loved this poem! So playful, romantic, and full fo emotion. It was wonderfully written and had a great flow to it. It kept me drawn in throughout and I could easily picture the scene unfolding as if it were right before my eyes.
Great job!

How sweet a love to share with someone special. We should cherish the small moments in every thing we do. They are what add up to the big moments. I love the flow of the poem. It has a light swaying rhthym that is pleasing tumbling from the lips. Enjoyed it.
