[No more the days of childhood]

[No more the days of childhood]

A Poem by Firestone Feinberg

No more the days of childhood --
They're gone from here at last --
Though memory, at times, too good --
Replays the poison past

With pictures that become too clear --
And fill the mirror mind...
As ghostly visions reappear --
The heart again to find.

I have tried and still am trying to stop a cycle in its tracks. My kids don't have the fear and confusion I had. Replaying my past has a way of helping me do that for them. Thought provoking. Angi~

yes, for some it is like this...a memory to forget...

i had Vermont memories that i treasure...and some others....but often childhood is a nightmare that we want to wake up from...and then never sleep again.

nicely done, David.

D...'days of childhood' are good, at least in part, for most of us but for many, the 'poison past' is what re-emerges. I think at times that at least it's not sentimental. Like this one...thanx...bobc
