[Living -- an evening of light into]

Living -- an evening of light into
Dark -- is the timeless time between
One here and another.  We travel
This wilderness -- alone -- although
We think we have neighbors on the road.

The delusion is a defensive
Thing.  We fear the walking when we can
Only hear our own footsteps cracking
Dead branches and dry leaves.  Comfort
Comes -- but in pretense.  We continue.

A poem to 'make you think'. I think you have been very clever the way you start sentences half way through a line and carry the meaning over to the next. It is like ' the timeless time between one here and another.' Enjoyed this poem very much.
