As a matter of fact we're both Probably better off if you don't read it. That way I don't have to try to please You or worry that the poem is lousy or Whatever and you won't feel obliged to Tell me how wonderful the poem is especially If you really can't stand it. So how about If we make a sort of agreement... Like we Agree that we'll both be happy if you don't Read it and then we won't have to have any Concerns about how phony we have to be. In Fact it would be better if I didn't write this Poem at all. That way you wouldn't have to Read it and then lie to me about how much You enjoyed it and I wouldn't have to try to Please you or impress you... what about that? D L Firestone Feinberg
