We don't always have to understand it, it it makes you feel something, then I'd be happy....we all read through shades of a different perspective, do with it what you wish after it's been cast out into the cafe....the point is poetry/writing is what keeps us sane, or for me it is anyway, valid point ...well done Dave!

what you get is what you get....and it is as legitimate as what any other reader pulls from a poem
however the poems speak to you...as long as they do in some way...that is success.
no need to be patient...poets have to let the poems belong to the reader...
never one interpretation..it is art.

Simplicity is out the window...of course...the modern day poets are just taking the old stuff and reinventing them...I'm sure poetry will look like text messages in the future...
