Like two old men Roger and I go for a
Walk pretty much every day at about
8:15 a.m.  We are good friends.  He
And his family have lived in this
Apartment building for about thirty
Years.  We have been here longer.
Anyhow we walk about ten or twelve
Blocks together.  We walk slowly.  I
Have heart disease and he just got over

A bout with cancer.  We survive and we
Walk and we talk.  Today we talked about
Lots of things like how to fold a piece
Of paper into exactly-equal thirds and we
Talked about his experience in the army.
And about fishing, which I hate.  And about
Competitive sports, which I hate.  And also
About circles and Jewish stars and some other
Things of great importance...  Life is good.

Well you add character in the lines of this one...I will say...and the walk must be enjoyable to some extent...or you would not do it everyday...besides health reasons...

'We survive and we ~ Walk and we talk.' The next phrase is a beauty, because folding a piece of paper that way is a mathematical art form!

Hi David. I did enjoy the poem. You could call it something like 'conversation cameos'

That's good, but cameos are too feminine for me. I like the conversations part tho. thanks for you.. read more
