Well I deleted most or all of the poems thatA Poem by Firestone Feinbergb"h 27 Aug 2013 Well I deleted most or all of the poems that I wrote in what I call my 'Holden Caulfield Voice.' I guess I was near the end of a relatively Minor manic phase and when I get to that place I can delete everything -- including myself. But I somehow managed to leave most of myself intact... Well like I said, it was a Relatively minor phase that actually began At the time I wrote all those non-stop verses In the first place. And well if you know a Bit about bi-polar illness, then you know that The manic phases are often characterized by what They call 'flight of ideas,' and then when you Return to earth you're kind of embarrassed by Some of the things you did and said when you Were flying. So you try to hide the evidence By deleting those embarrassing things. And Then you might feel better for a couple of hours.
