If you want to say something

If you want to say something

A Poem by Firestone Feinberg

If you want to say something
And you say it in the morning --
The sun will listen to every word --
Your prayer will not go unheard --

And if you ask -- in the afternoon --
Then your question will rise to the sky
And your answer will fly down soon --
Down to where your searching eye

Can find it -- until evening be
Upon the land -- and pure silence reigns --
And no noise remains --
So you may -- at last -- speak freely.

i love the wording in this, David---

yet it begged the question...what if it is a cloudy day? may we still speak freely...or will chains on our thoughts fall from the sky with the rain?

just thoughts...i love poems that push me to react like i did to this one.
