Wanting to dissapear, to vanish for a while, but being tied down by a crushing routine... The proprietor wishes to leave, but he knows he won't... No Martian to rescue him from his life... That last word "none", says so much. At least, that what I got out of it... This is very moving, thanks for sharing.

You know, it's great when other persons review your poems; so often they see things in them that you.. read moreYou know, it's great when other persons review your poems; so often they see things in them that you never even 'thought' of before. I had just thought of this as a silly thing. I had never seen the hard truth that lay beneath it. You've opened my eyes; now the poem becomes part of me. Not too sure that's easy to accept -- but it's good to know, to learn, and to see. The poem, then, is really an illusive mirror: it reflected me too well -- so well that I was fooled. Thanks, sithlordjp, for your keen insight and fine analysis. --David
