Here then are Is and And

Here then are Is and And

A Poem by Firestone Feinberg
"

I sometimes write in another form of language. It uses English words, but it recognizes some physical and metaphysical realities which are either missing from or simply discounted by our language --

Here then are Is and And.
They are incomplete.

We and we would either
Is and Is and And and And or
Is-Is and And-And

Or neither...

We might talk of Of --
But why?
Who would understand?

I feel a strange connection to this piece. Yes, the meaning is elusive and out of reach, but still, it speaks to me, in a quiet understandable way... The way you use words is quite unique. "Who would understand?" I think I would, even if I don't... I can almost see this as a reflection on the failure of language in our day-to-day conversations: "Is and Is and And and And or" Are we even listening to each other anymore... A fascinating piece. Question: Are all these great paintings on each of your writings made by you?

A thoughtful and 'well expressed' poem. There is a frustration but there also seems to be a solid belief that there is a core metaphysical reality to be expressed.
I kinda believe that English can express this, but the reader must be as ready as the writer.
Thank you sir.
