Snow

Snow

A Poem by Oliver
"

A short prose involving snow

"

One

Then two

Then three

Then four

Snowflakes falling from the sky

One by one

Then all at once

The dots land on my freckled cheek

Causing cold to branch on my skin.

Sending a chill down my spine.

A deep breath in

An aching gasp out

The Cold is getting worse.

The sky is filled with White.

You were beside me

Not two minutes ago

And now

You’re gone.

You’re lost to the winter snow

The red’s been drained from my lips.

A tint of blue

Is all that’s left.

Purple

Is spreading down my fingertips.

I can’t move

My body has grown numb.

And you’re gone.
