21 one eveningA Chapter by Poe Met Emilyone evening Time began to slow and fly by at once, this helter-skelter poison that killed in the milliseconds it took to breathe.
I dragged my feet that evening, skipping stones inside my mind. Night had hung over,
my eyes staring into the puddle that awkwardly stared back. My hand shook around my cell, my face wet as the park swing I rocked in.
Rain fell so softly, as if the world cried with me, sympathized with the way
my heart wanted to shatter, but had no way of shattering anymore. Humid kisses and gentle breezes, I still shivered with my nerves. © 2021 Poe Met Emily |
