Is It Repeating?A Poem by Poe Met Emily
My heart begins
to ache and throb with the paranoia that history is repeating itself again; that my own mistakes are mistakes he'll make, but then if it happens, who am I to feel? Who am I to say that he shouldn't do that? Is it fair for me to feel hurt and betrayed if another girl holds his attention more than I have in four years? Or am I overthinking, just like I always do? Can I trust this pit in my stomach? My hands begin to shake and tremble as the ache spreads. But what can I do if I'm wrong?
