One Step Back.A Poem by Poe Met Emily
Create within the leftover fibers of my skin
Someone more beautiful, a prize for you to win. I have been burned and resented by my blood, The family I had loved for so long, so good. Showed me the way to manage disfunctionality, Hide inside my seamless shell, cloak the reality. I keep shoving it away, such pain, such loathing, It's only resurfacing to my hands, recollecting. All the things that broke my bones, All the sticks, their weighted stones. How pathetic to the eye I can be, When I cannot find the strength to love Me.
