Hiding In Plain Sight.

Hiding In Plain Sight.

A Poem by Poe Met Emily

I am a mess inside but composed in fragments.
Did I offend you? Or am I blind and naive?
Maybe I am a fool, a fool for you.
I chase you when you run, wishing to embrace,
and I long to hold you to ease those nerves.
I love you and I am afraid of the silence...
But when you look at me,
all I can do is smile...
I am afraid I am dying inside and you're fading away,
my pain and inexperience blinding me from it;
please---I know you'll stay but something feels off.
Who is not okay?
