Before I Knew.

Before I Knew.

A Poem by Poe Met Emily

My heart won't die like the others.
Throw me a hole and sedate me.
Enter my former sanctuary where I won the war
And see if those bones feel any different.
Gradually losing sleep, I feel less real.
Losing my concentration, I keep shaking.
I do not cry, my vital signs seem low.
It is only deteriorating.
