Letter.

You've been through a lot in your life

But that is not a crime

The crime is committed by those causing the strife

Wounds are healed all in time

And time is what I have for you, my dear

I love you for all that you are

I long to know your every fear

Kiss away your pain and see every scar

Though it is true you've been pushing away

And it does affect the way I feel

You must understand I am here to stay

I can be upset and love you still

See, feelings are fleeting, here and then gone

But love is not a feeling, it's something I know

It is part of who I am and will forever go on

The more love you see, the stronger you'll grow

The love for yourself will begin to show

You are stronger, my darling, than you may ever know
