Abandoned.

Abandoned.

A Poem by Poe Met Emily

There, it woke up dead.
I could feel it.
I could feel it.
Take it from me to a black hole.
Puncture me with such simplicity.

You are hiding.
I am playing games with myself.
I am tapping my fingers to a tempo unseen.
I woke up dead.
I felt it in the end.

That I was just a burden for years,
A ghost in the house inflicting lead weights.
Overtaking it again, my heart trembles.
I have been shaking this whole time,
Wondering who was ever right.

If I died tomorrow, would you weep?
Would you have given a damn?
Go on and crack my skull.
I am disgusted.
Leave.

Leave.
