Sinking.

Sinking.

A Poem by Poe Met Emily

I am troubled about things better left buried.
It is unhealthy and destroying me so easily.

Do not see the world like I did.
I would rather move on, let it end in peace.
Let it expire out into a distant place.

If I tell you the isolation is there,
A memory of who I once was,
Would you tell me what you're thinking about?

It is a faint foolish wish to be strong.
Here in the truth, there is a lie

That keeps all the memories alive at night.
When are you coming home?
When will my back get off this wall?

You said you would never hurt me, such a liar.
Now look at me --- losing it again and again.
I loved you like the world was ending

A dead weight you've become in my life.
I will not wait to feel like a rebel

A drifting petal across the endless wind.
Happy for you, I am happy for you, my own lie.
But I am miserable, miserable for us both.

I wish it was just myself.
Please, God, erase me.
Keep me alive my Love, I am going down.
