Ebony Went Out.

Ebony Went Out.

A Poem by Poe Met Emily

Is love easily explained?
Is it comprehensible?
The gears in my head stir
and keep me awake,

No sound in particular,
I wish to hear your voice,
Taste the sweetness of your lips,
The salt of your skin.

I yearn to make you smile,
make your heart rejoice.
Nothing said aloud,
and I need you to hear it.

If the cut is too deep,
the scar too thick,
do we pull away
and figure it out in time?

I want to show you how I feel,
to show you who I am.
See who you are,
and head towards the light.
