Soft Chimes Fading Out.

Soft Chimes Fading Out.

A Poem by Poe Met Emily

I wish I could see what you do.
In time, I hope to be my dreams,
Speak what you feel with nothing to hide,
I believe you more than I have ever.
No lies come from your lips.
No pain have you to inflict in me.
Yet my hands hold my arms,
The lonely shadow crowding in.
I fear I am becoming cold,
The shift in my heart feels uncertain,
And I am scared of the elephant in the room.

This speaks to me of trust and of the dawning knowledge it has been betrayed.
