Dripping In.

Dripping In.

A Poem by Poe Met Emily

I do not like these emotions that I have been denying.
They push up my spine like tidal waves,
Bringing in the hollowing winds,
Drowning me in the rain I had just escaped.
Bad thoughts cross my uneven threshold.
I can see my scars reopen,
My quiet whispering ghosts leak out.
These feelings grab at my chest,
And constrict my lungs into small gaps.
If I lose the way I was going
Shall I be guided back to you?
Shall i see the morn or my nightmares
Play out into reality like years past?
Go away, deep shades of blue, leave.
Where did it come from?
