Lonely Step.

Lonely Step.

A Poem by Poe Met Emily

I don't know what I'm doing.
I have a love that's almost blinding.
His eyes give me the sight to see,
A common ground I've been searching for.

His hands pull me into arms that save  me from the darkness.
Yet I am afraid to open my mind to the honesty, the fullness
In his ways, he has me mending so fast.
I fear the next day may be my last.

These are the hearts of lonely poeple laid to rest
An unwinding road that begs my feet to test
I keep wandering into his hands
Praying he will understand.

Moments too soon and I'm counting my scars
Falling in love with where we are.
Stop shaking like the sugar on his skin
And move my nightmares into dreams again.
