June at Grandpa's House

June at Grandpa's House

A Poem by Kasey Miriam

Open field of grass
Young siblings play in the summer.
Water gun and a bucket,
They splash and play.
Grandpa watches with his camera raised
Hours of fun at grandpa's house
He says "ready"
They know what that means
Time to pose for a picture.
I spun around to look at grandpa
Lost my balance,
Then my brother nudged me.
Tried to catch myself,
And plopped into the bucket.
With his hands on his hips,
And that smirk on his face.
I'd say my brother looked pretty proud.

One you'll always remember to I'll bet. Mischief and kids always go together don't they. :) Youth, Grandpa and memories are treasures never to be forgotten. I can see the sun shining and I can feel the warmth right on that field too.

Nice one Kasey.

I like this poem. I know where you are coming from. I also have such fond memories of my grandfather. He raised me from the time that I was 12 years old and even longer than that unofficially. I really enjoyed. Nice work!

Lovely snapshot of life. Kids will always be kids, and thank goodness for granddads; my dad is grandpa to 4 already, and hoping for more.

Blessings to your family and your grandpa especially.

Beccy.

Thank you for reading. We have had some great family moments
That's what brothers do. I have two, both of them were pests when we were kids, at least, I thought so.

Really enjoyed this walk down memory lane. T
