A snowboarding trip with all the buddies

Cars packed as we start the long drive

A place to escape, to get away

Mountain so big, snow so powdery

 

Sochi

People spend their whole lives waiting and training

For this day they have the power to become legendary.

 

Big Blue skies

Soft white snow

Lake so vast

A place where time can almost pause

 

Lifts spin and the snow falls

We get caught up in the hype

Hoping it can last for ever

Feeling blessed just to be here

As I lie awake here

 

The true test of any champion…

Olympics, competing for your country

Putting your life on the line

All as the world stops and stares

 

By summer lake

The lake is clear

Weather is warm

Beach is filled with people and dogs

Everyone’s just happy to be out here

What a humbling thing really
