Love Poem

For anyone who falls in and out of the dam thing so much

I think I fell in love with you so quick
so that I could push you away.
To see if you would hurt me when I gave you everything
A defense trigger if you will.
This way I can know how bad you will hurt me
How bad things can get.
I found out you will hurt me, at some point
and i always knew that.
For things that are as beautiful as you
and I
Aren't meant to be caged
or tied down
You were beautiful and wonderful
And I was quick to pull a trigger
Fall in love quick and get it out of the way
After it is gone it will no longer be there
and there will be no other way you can hurt me
I think I fell in love with you so quick
so that I could push you away.
