The Spider's Web

The Spider's Web

A Poem by 8petallotus

I destroyed the spiders web,
On accident.
She did not mind, I don't think.
In fact I think she smiled at me.
Came down again
Rebuilding with art
Just like a monk and his mandala.
I almost wanted to bring her in.
Give her a place she could build, without interruption.
Hold her close and say, "I am sorry for destroying her home, again".
I wonder too, if she feels like me.
Rebuilding over and over again,
The dream home in her head.
To ask her, "do you ever tire?
Do you ever wish it was easier?
Do you want to give up, call it quites , not be forced to start over again?"
