The Slenderman

The Slenderman

A Poem by Simon S.
"

Recently i have come across a fellow known as 'Slenderman' on the internet and of course found him rather interesting. So i composed a poem about him, and this is it.

"

A trickle from the roof

The sound of pavement underhoof

A cold chill in the air

The disemboweled carcass of a mare

Among these sights and many more

Lies the truth of forgotten lore

Living, Breathing, Dead, and Cold

Is the beast from days of old

Under moonlight pale at most

Walks this horrid fiendish host

As the silence in times of dark

It spreads its gait and bears no mark

But strung upon the highest boughs

Yawning in eternal woes

Mangled, Twisted, Strained, and Cleft

Are visions of horror life bereft

Of the few hath fortune found

Not one speaks what hell unbound

Eyes milked over and mouths aghast

Are the lot which fortune passed

The bravest heart does brand with fear

At the sight that horror nears

Pale, black, lank and tall

Steps through darkness as blackened walls

A whimper in the night

madness gained by naked sight

A final breath is choked

Whence his presence one does note

Author's Note

Simon S.
I feel i rushed the ending a bit simply because i myself was growing mad at finding words that rhymed together so well. I have another saved on my computer i will soon follow up with also, i just want to see how many of you out there enjoy a poem that could be considered "Creepypasta".

About
I have taken a liking to poetry and my favorite is the Haiku. Mostly because it's really short and doesn't have to rhyme, but also because you can say so much with so little. As for genres i enjoy any.. more..
