sorry to hear about the loss.... i actualyl read this poem twice. I waned to make sure absorbed everything, and i'm glad i did... it was the lines I am at a loss, and the revealing of your brother.. that made me think, maybe i should go back and read the begginning now that i know that. I like how it captivated me, then made me want to understand more. very emotional piece your heart is exposed. thank you for sharing
One day at a time. Here is a poem I did for you. Much love sent your way.

God only knows how long we can go on missing
Our loved ones
Why does God let us grieve to a point of pain?
Within our hearts
Living in the crossroads of shadows
They still follow, following close behind
Thoughts and memories
Will never fall behind
While he holds onto you
Holding your hand while you walk and talk
The talk, he smiles at you, tugging upon
Your beautiful heart
Every time, you see,
Feeling the warmth of a rising sun
Remember the vibrant colors
Your eyes unfold upon
Today, everyday before you rest to sleep
Close your eyes; you will hear his sweet voice
Whisper upon your ear
I Love You Sis
thank you for sharing your thoughts and touching our innermost feelings
one day I hope to read more of your magic and not just your sorrow
I am waiting the return of your glowing sun
It is hard for me to write comments on such a deeply personal expression of grief. Three years... Your words scrape so deeply into my heart and make me wish that I could have given my life in exchange for his so you would never have to know such pain. I am so sorry...
I am so sorry for your loss and your grief, I lost my son in a car accident too, so I can somewhat feel what it took to write this heart touching poem. My prayers to you. Debileah
one gets the feeling when reading this that it was authentically written beneath a dark cloud of grief... it is very human in that it speaks with cold rationality, like the eye in a storm of mourning.

I have returned to my first love, poetry, since the death of my only sibling Aaron. I write poetry, fiction, and non-fiction. I like to explore grief, loss, and the healing process. I write as things .. more..
