You

You

A Poem by Dawn Lavoie
"

Don't even remember writing it just found it in my notes

"
You
Left me broken
Each touch never touched
My heart so true
And my biggest mistake
Was you
Bad decisions lead us
Down roads as rough as time
Each one which was mine
Gave a lesson taught
But the only bargain broken
Is the one that leaves you lost
How long will she wonder
How long must she stay here
Bound broken beaten
Gazing threw the years
Can she ever settle
After such a stent
Will she ever come back
From that stumbling dance
The heart is way past broken
The love is crumbled sand
The girl is crushed to pieces
Because he's a broken man
Miss him she does truly
There is no way to deny
The loss that burns inside her
That she just can't hide
It hurts beyond recognition
I don't know me anymore
Finding myself
Holding true love
Was the worst choice given
The worst burden enjoyed
I never will tell a friend
To allow themselves to feel
I hope no one has to ever see
A love that screams so true
Because nothing saves a broken soul
And love is pain unjust
I will never be ok
This will never go away
A love thats bore so deeply true
Is the pain shrouded over you
I love that demon who ripped my soul
And declare this hate my greatest role
Love destroys what it can not save and I will treasure life's experience threw tip deaths day
