Teddy's Slow Waltz.

Teddy's Slow Waltz.

A Poem by Alexander Emberson
"

Blargh

"
Sitting against the cool concrete,
reciting lines that don't-
meet up with the face
of your father in the midsummer.
The bed is only cool and crisp once,
and yet Teddy's slow waltz goes on and-
on pulled by some invisible hand towards
the line between... where did he go?
Innocence lost with one eye closed.
That's so you're always halfway between
happiness and heartbreak.
Shine on and on and on.
