Wind

Wind

A Poem by Alexander Emberson
"

I felt it. Did you?

"

I too felt the cold wind
No sense in perusing what has been
I suspect it’ll come around again
Maybe in a few years, or perhaps you’ll find it within.

I too felt the cold wind
No reason to contend
I’ve found it here, dusty, crumpled, and faded
“A petty lie!” He shouted.

Did you too feel the cold wind?
What’s the sense in trying again?
Eh, both look equally scarred.
Give it to me, I’ll hold it just tonight.

Wow! I love this one, your last stanza says so much,
This write really tugs at the heart strings.
Very well written.
