The Boatman

The Boatman

A Poem by Alexander Emberson
"

The Boatman beckons.

"

Come with me hand in hand
I am the boatman to a distant land

One last trip for you to take
To seal the final day awake

Your love is lost. Your spirit tolled.
But death does not judge those whose hearts are cold.

So climb aboard! Take your seat!
I am the captain! The Boatman! The Chains around your feet!

Beautiful write, though I want it to be long. I want to read more. The rhyming too is so natural.

LOVED these lines here, This is a wonderful write,
amazing rhyme scheme and flow. Nicely written.
