Depression.

We were given an abstract noun in class today and had five minutes to write a poem that expressed the feeling without using the word. I'm pretty happy with it, considering I wrote it in a few minutes.

Everything in a single promise;

A future full of dreams, the calm

that fills a need.

Everything in a single person;

An atlas to bear the weight, 

to lift it up on high.

Everything in a single problem;

A trip turns to a fall, 

no one to heed your call.

Everything in a broken promise;

A future full of dreams, the hole

that doesn't bleed.
