"

I came home from The Swell Season concert, sat down, and started typing. I stopped typing when the words stopped coming easily. I didn't edit it.

"

Eyes snapped open, jaw swung loose.

Neck pulled from a loosened noose.

Straining tendons, heels in time.
Fingers drumming to the rhymes.

Passion burning, voices turning
souls through change, pushing,
forcing, raising spirits, filling,
flowing, sowing hearts with fine
emotion, words misplaced;

Fears erased.

Love reblazed.

Hope embraced.

Worry laced with doubt, shadowed now,
knowing how, knowing now;

What to do.

What to prove.

Who to move.

Who he'll lose, if this chance is passed.
Emotions pass, but can relapse.
Hearts apart should be brought together.
Weary arms, hopeful, perhaps delusional.
Nothing to lose;

Fear breaking loose.
A path to choose.
Emotion rising,
Storms at brew, tears raining, hearts
thundering, passion streaked across
the sky.

Be as critical as you'd like, but keep in mind that I wrote this with little thought and with no editing. I just let words flow. And I like it.
