The heart of death

The heart of death

A Poem by Kat-Marie Berti

Your heart is screaming in agony

Is wilting like the petals of a dying rose

Exploding into chunks of bloody gore

Under the extreme emotions invading you

Death has been swift in your direction

Ready to make your Hell eternal

The darkness of your soul is filled with cobwebs

And shadows and secrets that whisper into the night

The tears you weep are part of a deep sorrow

That hammers to dust the pieces of your broken heart

Bravo! This piece holds such great meaning - especially for me as a new chapter of my life begins on a journey where the road will surely be walked alone.
