The end of all things

So the end finally overtook me and I fell deep down where consciousness no longer existed. I died for a few moments, exhausted my body to a point of no survival. The darkness seized my mind, engulfed, suffocated my existence. My breath was cut off, sliced short and I gasped for a lungful of life. There was no light at the end of the tunnel, no tunnel in sight. I was trapped, drowning in a pit of my own fears and nightmares. No way out, endure it, fight it, you won’t survive it.  Hell had snatched me, set it's clawed fingers around me and yanked me down into the underworld. The screams bit at my flesh, echoed all around me and I could nothing but listen and cringe and scream my own screams drenched in pure horror at what awaited me down below.

Maybe it was only an illusion, where consciousness begins anew, darkness merely a temporary fog bank, and after passing through, fresh breezes fill the air with bright sunlight streaming through the clouds. Hell is full of dragons that have saddles and they be ridden from one small village to another. The wounds in your flesh are healed over and your screams of terror have turned into cries of laughter. Smiles. :)

It is not an end but a beginning that one should avoid. Very dark and disturbing. Well done.
