Death is upon your doorstepA Poem by Kat-Marie BertiIn a time when mankind had no clue Of what the future would bring Still so innocent in their foolish minds Not knowing that death was to come knocking That life was on the brink of extinction And they couldn’t do a damn thing to stop it They laughed, they cried, night and day Never properly enjoying anything they did Angry at the little things, what a shame When they were the things that mattered They should have opened their eyes to see That the end is when all becomes clear You live your life so utterly clueless Only realizing your defeat when it’s too late Can’t do nothing to fix your past It’s all gone and done with, if you ask me The final moment is coming right up Hop on the train, we’re off to hell
