You Played Me

You Played Me

A Poem by Kat-Marie Berti

All those kisses meant nothing

Its all becoming so clear to me

You played me, fooled around

Lied every time I asked you

Pretended to be someone else

I hate your false life, the one with me

How can you not care about us

We loved each other once

Now its all worth a pile of s**t

Im done being with you

I have been there before, where you are. It's painful, mortifying and then anger sets in. But finally you let go of the baggage because while it tears you apart it barely affects the person who damages you. The sooner you can let it go, the less victory they have. Thanks for your write. It speaks for all of us, hurt by love and those who keep trying to find the right one. Don't lose faith.

Wow! I have definitely been there! I've been played before, and been accused of doing it myself. This is VERY good, I'll be sure to come back often!

I think alot of us, men and wemon have been played or done the playing ourselves! Good job again!

Very nicely done. You did a great job conveying the anger, the hurt, the distrust, the finality of the relationship. I hope that this is "fiction" and that you are not part of some man's second "life" as in a mistress etc... only because that would really suck for YOU!!!

Well done...

Wendy

Well, now...someone's angry. And rightfully so! Well expressed.

Another powerful piece of writing. So much anger and hurt jumps out of your words. Whether fact or fiction, it's finely constructed. God willing it's not fact.

Well that got to the point. Reminds me of the song 'Here we go' by Trina. Good that you're taking back control of your life even though it hurts.
