Dreams are my savioursA Poem by Kat-Marie BertiStanding by the waters edge Watching the tide flowing towards me Pulling me away from this world Drifting towards a faraway land Where all my pain vanishes A smile appears for a fleeting second I havn’t smiled in ages, it seems Dreaming is the only way I can survive Without them, I die inside Wither away like a bitter old woman Collapse from the inside out Dreams are my saviours Come to wrap me up with comfort Close my eyes and imagine a different life One where I don’t exist and I smile once more
