Your lies are my albatross

Your lies are my albatross

A Stage Play by Kat-Marie Berti

Every time that you look in my eyes
You see the pain that you caused with those lies
I want to run, leave you here alone
But Im still bound to the things youve shown

How should I react to everything youve done
You never even gave love to you own son
Just cared about yourself, nothing more
Youre greedy and selfish, thats your core

One day I will depart from your life
Ill finally be free from being your wife
You wont be able to boss me about
And youll have nobody at whom to shout

Youll wake up in sadness and feel what I felt
Every time you decided to hurt me with you belt
Ill do my best to forget all that youve done
And pray for forgiveness, because Ive got none

Girl, we've got to talk! Maybe you and I know the same guy!GRIN

I thought your expression of the entire scenario was quite strong, emotional, deep. It rocked me.

Wow, that has a lot of emotion, and anger, yet also strength. I loved it. Very good flow, and meter. Sort of reminded me of one of my fav songs by Janet Jackson, "What About." It's very vivid at the end, describing physical abuse. I am glad you got away from him. Well, i included a poem of mine you may enjoy.

good luck on y our stage play.

your cafe friend...kena

If there was only the ultimate new and improved Albatross remover, but theres so many different types of Albatross. Lies are such evil things, and man made, selfish things with repercussions all around...lovely, loving, yet tragic lamentation of something long past due...yes, this milk is sour...great purity of voice in this...
