WonderA Poem by Kat-Marie BertiAs I lay in bed in the dead of night I wonder about you and if I’m right What you think of during your day And if I was with you, what you’d say If I’d kiss you, how that would make you feel If you’d tell me your heart would be mine to steal Or if you would shrug and say it’s not much All the while never loving the way I touch I wonder about so much, about who you are And if your body and soul holds any scars Were you ever in love? I want you to tell me Don’t be afraid, I will never turn around and flee No matter what you say, I will always love you I made a commitment in my heart and I’ll stay true My word isn’t always any good, what a shame But this time it’s engraved in gold with our names So let’s enjoy life, I’ll be waiting right here Just let me know as soon as you get near
