These tears will flow until the end of time

These tears will flow until the end of time

A Poem by Kat-Marie Berti

These tears will flow until the end of time

Remembering the past, now covered in grime

Regretting the years spent cuddled in your arms

Listening and believing every one of your charms

I’m laying in bed, it’s dark and I can go back to when

I was head over heels in love, but that was then

Now it’s all changed, you’re a monster, a fake

You dug through my tender heart with your stake

I’m sorry I stuck around for so long, what a waste

In my mouth there is still that bitter and sour taste

Of what I’ve lost, of all the days and years given away

Just so you could be happy to have your own way

You probably don’t even remember my name

Or all those heartfelt moments, what a shame

I truly loved you, gave you everything I had

You greedily took advantage of me, how sad

The lose and pain of crossroads that we travel through picking up the pieces and moving forward is what brings out the passion to write. Writing is that outlet to get us going, not looking back but just moving up and into the horizons of each new day we encounter.

This was a good poem of a personal inner emotion and feelings you captured with the pen of a poetess.

Thank you for sharing.

so true; how we can be blinded by the one we love until they show their true colors, unfortunatley too late for us the blind ::sigh::

Great write!
Wonderfully written about a tragic time of losing yourself for the love of someone else
Been there`n at times still there, does the bitter taste ever go away?
Great job!

Good poem revealing the emptiness of departure. Written with honesty and true regret.

Nice mechanics, too.

A strong way to get out the emotions--on paper. It's not easy looking back on all that was given and what seemed wasted. It's good to get feelings out in the open. Writing makes them a little easier to deal with and helps get a handle on things.
Your pain is deep here, you wrote of it excellently!
