It’s early in the morning and all is calm

You’re beside me, thumb tracing my palm

I hear the beating of your heart by my ear

All I want is to be closer to you, to be near

 

The day has not officially begun yet

I have time to remember the day we met

How you smiled and teased me day after day

Until you finally told me you would stay

 

I love you more than words can mean

You make me crazier than a cup of caffeine

I want to spend the rest of my life with you

For better or for worse, we shall endure, just us two
